john harvey started making music in 1988 with a very small set-up after hearing the house sound of chicago and the techno sound of detroit compilation lps. he was also inspired by uk dance artists and the acid house scene. he got into most forms of dance music between 1991 and 1994 including U.S. house/garage, jungle etc., but then he caught up with the detroit techno scene again in 1995 with the likes of Kenny Larkin and Robert Hood. From then on Detroit techno has been his main influence. he also released under his alter ego dimension5 a couple of brilliant cuts on delsin records.
